2001 CDS Highlights

The IRES Career Development Seminar is the Society's premier professional development activity, a three-day series of workshops, panels and social events, usually held in late July or early August.

As you can see below, the 2001 CDS in Baltimore was a big hit. See you in San Antonio in '02!

The record-setting crowd of 540 filled the ballroom for the introductory Commissioners Roundtable (left) and overflowed outside of several of the individual seminars (below).

Among those paying rapt attention to the keynote talk by Kansas Commissioner Kathleen Sebelius, president of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, were incoming IRES President Jann Goodpaster (left) and Colorado Commissioner Bill Kirvin (right).

Other highlights of the CDS were presentation of the Al Greer Award to John Hartley of Oklahoma (left) . . .

. . . the passing of the gavel from Steve Martuscello of New York to Jann Goodpaster of Oregon . . .
